What is it?
HERLOCK is a light-hearted mystery-drama web series featuring two extraordinary young women who combine their talents to fight for justice in an unjust world.
The stories draw inspiration from the “Sherlock Holmes” characters and situations created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. For example, the pilot episode has elements of the story “Silver Blaze,” and is called “Silver Blade.” So it’s that kind of thing.
But are these women “Sherlock Holmes” and “Doctor Watson”? Yes! Also no! The classic characters are our inspiration. We’ve put their essential “one is the brain, the other is the heart” paradigm to work — but we’re using it in exploring modern issues of equality, gender roles, and other trials brilliant women face today … the obstacles that strong women still confront in the 21st Century.

So? Where does HERLOCK go from here?
That’s a great question. We’re glad you asked.
We need money to make more of these! We launched an Indiegogo campaign that didn’t raise nearly as much as we need, and since then we’ve been in a sort of limbo. Everybody involved has moved on to other projects but we’re all still interested in “getting the band back together” so we can make some of the intriguing episodes we planned.
Meanwhile, we’re still gaining fans on our YouTube channel and our Facebook page as well!
Our ultimate dream would be for HERLOCK to become a project for fans everywhere, something aspiring screenwriters and mystery storytellers could contribute to.
